Hello friend,
This year marks 30 years since Rediscovery began on Haida Gwaii!
We are starting a special fund to support young people to attend leadership training programs and summer camps. We uphold the values of the Rediscovery program in enriching the lives of young people, yet, at the same time, realize the need and challenge in getting adequate funds to send the youth to the programs. This is where we need your support.
We ask that alumni trainees, volunteers, families, businesses, organizations and corporations consider contributing towards the fund. It can be a one time donation or an annual commitment. The fund will be administered under “Friends of Rediscovery”. We are a charitable and nonprofit organization, where tax receipts will be issued to donations above $10.00
We are committed to keeping you informed of our activities and how the funds will be administered.

Dear sir/madam
My name is Les Purcell, i am from the UK and attended your Redicovery Programme last year 2008.
I was completely overwelmed by the experience!
It has led me to write my life story which i am currently in the process of doing. I feel your Rediscovery programme and the wonderful people i met there, has been a massive influence in deciding to complete this task. One that had been `eating` away inside me for many many years!
I feel that i wasnt at a point where i could of made any deffinate life changing decisions last year, but as ever in life, we have to be patient and keep believing.
I would love to here if there would be any posibility in contacting any of the staff who were present at last years programme.
As i feel i may of missed a `massive` opertunity in my life and maybe HOPE there is still a way to rekindle any chances i may of had?
I feel this is a fntastic time to do so powerful work with youth of all ages and would love the opertunity of working or Studying or hopefully both! in your wonderful country?
Alas, finacially, my days of volenteering are all but over. Finacial situation is the same for me as any youth worker anywhere,abismal!!
But with a desire and beleif something may come of my book when its finished…..a long shot, but its all about positive thiking!
Well i think i have gone on enough for now.
